Course Description: This is the second part of a two-semester hybrid course on modern Greek language, history, and culture. This course is an introduction to the main cultural forces in history and literature that shape modern Greek society. It explores the historical development of modern Greek culture from the period of the Greek War of Independence to the present. Students will also obtain a basic level of modern Greek grammatical rules, the reading and writing of simple sentences, and basic everyday conversation skills.
